Data can be aligned in various ways. Not only can the data be aligned left, right or centered, but also aligned within the cells and in orientation (e.g., 45 degree slant).

Using the Format Toolbar is one method for changing the alignment of data. However, there is another method that allows users to have more control in the way data appears.

To change the alignment of data, go to Format in the toolbar and click on Cells.

A new dialog window will appear with several tabs. Make sure that the Alignment tab is showing (if it is not, click on it). Things that you can do in terms of changing data alignment is explained in the graphic below.
