Adding Footers and Headers

In addition to adding titles to the spreadsheets themselves, one can also insert
headers and footers to identify time/date, the spreadsheet's creator, a running
head, page number, etc. Inserting headers and footers are quite easy to do.
In addition, one has a lot of flexibility in terms of what to include in the
header or footer.
To add a footer or header, follow the steps given
below:
- Click on View in the menu bar and click on Header and
Footer.
- Make sure the Header/Footer tab is showing (if not, click on
that tab).
- Click on the Custom Footer (or Custom Header) button and a
Footer (or Header) properties window will appear with three areas
in which you can insert information. Look at the graphic below of
what you can add or do to customize the footer (or header).
- Once the changes have been made, click the OK button.
- You can preview the footer or header by clicking the Print
Preview button or accept the changes made by clicking the OK
button.
- The footer or header will not be seen in the spreadsheet view.
However, the footer or header will print out in the final
version.
