To animate images, ClipArt, or pictures, one will have to perform this action in the Slide View. Each image, ClipArt, or picture will have to be edited in order for the animated effect to work. Therefore, it is important to make sure all the images are animated and not just one (if there is more than one image/picture on the slide).

Click on the image or picture first (in slide view). Then, go to Slide Show and click on Custom Animation. Like the process for animating text, click on the Effects tab to activate the effect and then choose the control feature in the Order and Timing tab.

If you have more than one image to animate, select the other images or pictures in the Check to animate slide objects window. Then, go through the same steps as mentioned above.
