Adding lists is simple. There are two types of lists to choose from: numbered
and bulleted. If you have already typed in your text, highlight the selected
words, sentences, or paragraphs and click on one of the list style buttons on
the Format Toolbar. For numbered lists, click on the Number button. For
bulleted lists, click on the button.
If you are typing text for the first time, click on one of the style buttons and press enter after you are finished typing each word, sentence, paragraph, etc. Word automatically inserts the bullet or number for you (AutoFormat must be enabled for this to work).
Word also renumbers sequences automatically. For instance, if you decide to insert a sentence between #2 and #3, press return after sentence #2 and a blank #3 appears waiting to be filled in (note that the old #3 is now a #4).
