WORD PROCESSING
Opening Saved Documents

There are several ways to open a saved document in Word.

One way is to go to File and click on Open. An Open window will appear and it is just a matter of locating the saved file, clicking on the file name, and selecting Open. You can also double-click on the file name to open the document.

Another way of opening a recently saved document is clicking on File option and choosing one of the file names listed in the bottom half of the drop-down menu (usually indicated by a number or folder name).

Finally, you can go to the Toolbar and click on the Open Folder button located next to the New button.

There are some things to be aware of when searching for files in the Open window. If you have files that cannot be seen in the Open window, Word may be limiting the file types to be shown. Thus, you may need to change the file type in the Files of type: dialog box.
