Page setup has four areas that can be adjusted to meet specific needs. These
areas include margins, paper size, paper source, and layout. Each area is described
below.
Word begins your document with a default set of margins. To change the default margins, you will need to go to Page Setup under File. The Margins tab gives you the opportunity to change the Top, Bottom, Left, and Right margins. You can also define where you want the header and footer to go on the page. Furthermore, you can choose whether to apply the new margin settings to the entire document or just to a section of a document.
Paper Size allows you to adjust the setting of a document to fit a variety of paper sizes for printing. You can also customize the paper size to suit your needs. Orientation such as Landscape (long edge) and Portrait (short edge) can be changed here.
Paper Source allows you to view and select the printer tray options.
Finally, the Layout tab allows you to define where new Sections start and whether to add or delete line numbering currently selected in the Apply to: box. Click on the Line Numbers button to perform this task.
